TRANSPORT SERVICE DEMETS: FROM FATHER TO SON.
In 1930, Marcel De Mets started trading in fruit and vegetables. This activity could not be carried out without transport. Soon there were more and more work opportunities in the transport sector. And this became the main activity in due course.
The horse and cart was finally exchanged for trucks at the end of the 1940s. The company also specialised in removals and international transport was also part of the possibilities.
The company started to rent waste containers and processing waste at the beginning of the 1970s. These activities were transferred to an international renowned waste processing company in 1989. After this takeover, ‘Transport Service DEMETS’ was established.
We grew further quickly thanks to the know-how and the service that has been passed on from generation to generation.
The fleet currently contains 40 motor vehicles and 75 trailers with different formats and tonnages.
Now, the 3rd generation is making its way up…
